Shaw insists United are a scary team

Luke Shaw has kick-started the build-up to the Manchester derby by warning United are becoming “a scary team to face”.
The England left-back claims they are making progress under Louis van Gaal and beginning to rediscover the aura which made them so feared under Sir Alex Ferguson. And he believes that when United have all their absent stars - including Wayne Rooney and Radamel Falcao - back and firing, no-one will relish facing them. The dramatic draw against leaders Chelsea on Sunday has given the players confidence and Shaw said: “It has been a fight, but we talk in the dressing room and at training and we know we’ve still got the best to come.

RVP defends celebration

Robin van Persie has defended getting booked for taking off his shirt as he celebrated his dramatic last-gasp equaliser against Chelsea. Manchester United boss Louis van Gaal rapped the striker, claiming he was "stupid" to collect such an unnecessary caution. Van Persie knows he should have kept his shirt on, but says he got carried away by the emotion of his strike at the end of yesterday's 1-1 draw at Old Trafford.
"I know it's one of the rules that you have to keep your shirt on, but sometimes you forget and everything comes together and the whole place explodes," he said.
