A man from Kisumu bit off his neighbour's ear over a football match. The man who is also a staunch Arsenal fan decided to get rid of his frustrations by biting his neighbor’s ear after Manchester United won a match over Arsenal on Saturday night.
Eye witnesses say that the Arsenal fanatic could not withstand the mockery from his neighbor who is a Manchester United fan. The man had to be locked away in a room after residents of Railways Estate came out baying for his blood. Allegedly, this is the second time the suarez of Kisumu is biting a fellow human being.

Wednesday 29, 2014- A man hacked his wife to death before committing suicide by hanging himself on Wednesday at Majani Mingi village in Rongai constituency, Nakuru. Phillip Chepkwony, 40, stabbed his wife Emmily Chepkonga, 33, on the back, the neck and the stomach.
Neighbours said Chepkwony was the second wife and the couple had four children aged between between 3 and 12. Chepkwony allegedly divorced his first wife over frequent domestic quarrels. Robert Kimutai, one of the neighbours, said that the couple's last born child came to his house early in the morning and informed him that his father had locked himself in the house with his mother and was not opening the door.
Kimutai said he went to the home with the boy and called the police when he could not forcefully open the door. The police officers broke the door down and found the man hanging dead in the living room and his wife lying in a pool of blood in the master bedroom. Prior to the incident, Chepkwony reportedly threatened to stab one of his sons forcing him to run away. Solai OCS shadrack Kyalo urged locals to solve their problems peacefully instead of ending lives. The two bodies were taken to the Nakuru county government mortuary.-Star
Nine members of the Machakos County Assembly Procurement Committee and a supplier have denied charges of flaunting procurement laws in acquiring 60 laptops for the Machakos county assembly. The 10 arraigned before Machakos resident Magistrate Bosibori Nyagema are Peter Wakaba, Peter Mwema, Peter Kioko, Teressia Ngina, Jonathan Munatya, Evelyn Munyira, Nancy Wambui, Raphael Makau, Nicholas Munyao and Charles Kinyanjui.
They denied that on June 18, 2013 they failed to follow due process in acquiring the laptops. Some of the accused were charged separately. Wambui who is the county's senior procurement officer was charged with asking for quotations for five of the computers from companies not on the list of qualified suppliers.
Makau, Munyao and Kinyanjui were accused of submitting a forged KRA tax compliance certificate. Seven of the accused were released on a cash bail of Sh1 million each while the other three were released on a cash bail of Sh500,000. The case will be mentioned on November 12, with a full trial taking place January 12 to 16 next year.
